Our Mission

At Krewe de l'Ecole, we empower New Orleans students to reach their full potential in mathematics by matching compassionate tutors with students, in order to build confidence and nurture a love for learning.

Through culturally responsive tutoring and genuine care, we work to ensure that all students—regardless of background, ability, or circumstance—have access to the tools and support they need to succeed in math and beyond!

What does the name Krewe de l'Ecole come from?

Our name literally translates to "Krewe of School" - a nod to our city's rich French-Creole history.

In New Orleans, a "krewe" is a group of people who celebrate together, and is mostly used for the organizations who drive the Carnival season and our Mardi Gras celebrations.

We believe in celebrating rich and engaging learning all year round with the great community of New Orleans!
